What this notice covers
This notice covers the Clarke’s Care website, clarkescare.com. It explains what the website collects and where that information goes. It does not describe how care or cleaning records are handled once you are a client; please ask Clarke’s Care about that.
Information you send through the contact form
The contact form asks for your name, your email address, the service you are interested in and your message. A phone number is optional. When you send the form, the website emails your message to Clarke’s Care so someone can reply, and emails you a confirmation with a reference number. The website does not store your message in a database.
Please keep a first message brief. Do not send medical records, identification documents, payment details or other sensitive information through the form or by ordinary email.
Cookies and security records
Apart from the Google Analytics cookies described below, the contact page sets one short-lived cookie that protects the form from automated abuse. It ends when you close your browser. To block spam and record errors, the form also keeps a security record of each attempt, such as the internet (IP) address it came from and the time, and keeps the contents of messages it blocks as spam. These records are not deleted on a set schedule.
Visitor statistics
This website uses Google Analytics to count visits and to see which pages and buttons are used, for example how many visitors tap the phone number or send the form. Google Analytics sets cookies and receives information such as the pages you view, the type of device and browser you use and your approximate location. Google may also collect information about your visits to this and other websites over time, and handles that information under its own privacy policy. You can install Google’s opt-out browser add-on if you do not want your visits counted.
No advertising or other third-party tracking tools run on this website. The website does not respond to browser “Do Not Track” signals.
Website hosting
The company that hosts this website keeps standard server records of visits, such as IP address, browser type, the pages requested and the time. The hosting company keeps these records as part of running its service. Messages from the contact form are delivered through the hosting company’s email service.
Who receives your information
Messages sent through the form go to Clarke’s Care, and a copy goes to the company that maintains this website so it can confirm the form is working. Visitor statistics are processed by Google. Apart from the hosting company that carries the email, the website does not send your message to anyone else.
